Where the Mediterranean Comes to Prague
Turquoise was never meant to be a typical restaurant. Tucked inside the Museum of Decorative Arts in the heart of Old Town, it grew from a deep passion for honest, sun-soaked cooking into a full Mediterranean experience — generous sharing plates, aromatic spices, and a warmth that makes every table feel like a gathering of old friends.
Every key ingredient — from the tahini to the za'atar — is sourced directly from the Mediterranean, because shortcuts have no place here. The result is a menu that feels both deeply familiar and genuinely exciting, whether you're a first-time visitor or a regular who already knows what you'll order.
Who We Are
Turquoise Mediterranean Brasserie is a relaxed Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurant on the ground floor of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague's Old Town, a few steps from the Jewish Quarter and the Rudolfinum. We cook generous hummus, mezze sharing plates, falafel, fresh salads and grilled meat and fish, with clearly labelled vegetarian and vegan dishes. Eat inside or in the museum's quiet garden. We also host private dinners, weddings and corporate events, and cater across Prague.
Our chefs travel regularly to the Mediterranean to stay connected with producers, farmers, and fishermen whose ingredients define our menus. This direct relationship with the source means that what arrives on your plate is always seasonal, always honest, and always remarkable.
Beyond the dining room, Turquoise is one of Prague's most sought-after private event venues. With three distinct spaces — the intimate Brasserie, the lush Secret Garden, and the Grand Upper Floor's vaulted ceilings — we host weddings, corporate dinners, product launches, and milestone celebrations throughout the year.
